Background
Cracks can appear during casting of aluminium ingot or billet. When the size and the number of cracks are critical, the product must be rejected.
Usually, those cracks are detected by visual detection or manual ultrasonic sensors.
Solution
Dynamic Concept proposes an automatic ingot inspection station which will scan the ingot or billet on the existing conveyor system of the plant and transfer the data and results to the casthouse PLC or control system.
