Low head casting is offered for some alloys to reduce shell thickness and to increase casting speed.

- Water hole design with water jacket orifice optimized to generate uniform or proportional cooling water distribution between end face over rolling face, depending on process requirements.
- Where grease is not suitable, an optional oil lubrication plate optimized to achieve a highly uniform oil distribution is available.
- Primary and secondary mould channel designed to ensure a full water chamber during operation (for the full range of the client’s process parameters)
- Self supporting mould (designed to sustain a one meter hang up, without plastic deformation of the mould main structure. The mould is supported by the table structure without any additional mold support structure
- Optimized mould profile designed to achieve a + or – 2mm rolling face flatness at a given steady state casting speed
